WSET Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits

Do you know your wine but want learn more? Are you interested in how wine is made and what influences wine styles?

This course covers all the major grape varieties, wine styles and wine regions. Its aim is to give the student the ability to understand the label; why a wine tastes like it does and what the information on the label actually means.

Course Content

This course is ideal for anyone working within hospitality who wants to give their understanding of food and beverage a career enhancing edge or for those who would like to take their developing passion for wine further. The Level 2 qualification is internationally recognised and allows the holder the option for further study and WSET qualifications in the future.

  • How wine is made  
  • What factors influence wine style
  • The key white and black grape varieties and their characteristics
  • The important wine-producing regions of the world in which these grapes are grown

Session Dates: 18th,19th,25th and 26th November (exam on 28th November)

Time: 10am – 3pm (5pm on exam day)

Certification: WSET certificate and lapel pin
